Jos voisin viettää tämän sunnuntain ihan kuin haluaisin, olisin yllättäen Lontoossa. Menisin ensin Spitalfieldsin markkinoille ihan vain katselemaan, ostaisin fudgea ja suuntaisin Brick Lanelle. Kävisin välillä juomassa kupin teetä ja jatkaisin kiertelyä. Lontoossa ei sataisi eikä olisi hirvittävän kylmä. Iltapäiväksi menisin kirjakauppoihin...
Mutta minäpä vietin aurinkoisen kevätpäivän täällä rannikolla Aviomiehen kera. Rämmimme lumihangessa metsässä ja nautimme lumen sulamisesta, auringosta ja kevään tulosta. Ei pöllömpi sunnuntai...
If I could spend my Sunday just as I wanted I would suddenly be in London. I would go to Spitalfields Market, wander around, buy some fudge and then walk to Brick Lane. I would continue wandering, go for a cup of tea and walk some more. It wouldn't rain in London and it wouldn't be freezing cold. Then I would spend my afternoon in one of London's bookshops...
Instead I spent my Sunday on the sunny western coast of Finland hiking through snow in the woods with the Husband and feeling as happy as I could while seeing the melting snow, the sun and the promise of spring. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday...
